#ShareYourTable World Kindness Day November 13
Sharing a meal is one of the ways we say, “I care about you!” The Table encourages conversation and listening while enjoying yummy food. Sharing your table is a way to show warm hospitality and genuine kindness.
During the week of November 13, World Kindness Day, we encourage you to invite someone to Share Your Table with you. Plan a simple meal, go out to a restaurant (yes, fast food counts! And alright, so does coffee!), sit at a park bench, the break room or spread a picnic blanket. Enjoy a meal with someone!
Here’s the Beyond part: Invite someone you don’t normally eat with to share a meal. We eat with our friends all the time, but what about that new person you just met? Or someone who has a different background, culture, religion, or political view than you do? In kindness, reach out and invite them to Share Your Table sometime during the week of November 13. Honor them as your special guest with the hope of getting to know them better and building a bridge to a new relationship! That’s Beyond Kindness!
If you’re the cooking type, or even if you’re not, check out some simple recipes and ideas from Sandy Coughlin at https://reluctantentertainer.com if you plan the Share Your Table from your home. Remember, it’s not the opulence of your home, its the openness of your heart that makes people feel welcome!
This November, who are you going to invite to Share Your Table?
We want to see your table! Take a pic and post it on Instagram or Facebook with the tag #shareyourtable and #beyondkindness. Let’s share in the joy of great food and new friends!
